Well, June Went Fast

June was super, as well as super fast.  We spent time with family and old friends, wore dance costumes and performed in recitals, and practiced life with a new babe for a few hours.  It was a good month and a great preview for a July filled with travel, weddings and baby gender reveals!

Life in Twin Falls continues to grow on us and we are really enjoying our life here.  Stella finished her year of dance in a sparkly blue costume dancing away on stage in front of her supportive Nanas and Papas who made the trip for the show.  Eliza was her usual spunky self, and decided to boycott bath time for a good three weeks.  The majority of her time in the tub was spent with tears in her eyes and claims of needing to sit on the toilet.  Once she was out of the tub she would sit on the potty for fifteen minutes with a frown on her face until I made her get back in.  Ugh!  I think we are out of that phase, but we shall see.

I was able to spend a few hours with two of my dear friends and our gaggle of kids.  We have been through a lot with one another over the last 15+ years of friendship.  Life has taken us all to places we never hoped to be, but I love that we can still spend a few hours together once a year (or in Devri and I's case, once a week) and pick right back up where we left off.

The entire month of June seemed to be filled with reunions with old friends.  Friends from Ohio, our days at Utah State, and besties from Billings were all in Utah (some for good now!) during the month of June.  I feel lucky that I am so close to where so many of my dear friends converge at different times of the year.  My friends mean so much to me, and I am blessed to have so many wonderful ones!

We ended June with a week of traveling.  We spent time together in Logan and at a day at Lagoon with the Palmer clan.  Eight years later and a day at Lagoon is still best when free and spent with family.  We really had a great time, but it was of course a long and exhausting day.  After Lagoon we went our separate ways for the rest of the week- the girls and I traveled from Pocatello to Ogden to Logan to Bear Lake, while dad worked a little and played a lot with his dad and brothers at Henry's Lake.

All of the miles on our car, all the late nights, laundry and subsequent pictures just remind me of what a blessed life I get to live.  So many happy moments to outweigh the tough nights, mornings of being sick and time-outs issued.  It's such a happy life.
