Oh my, another month come and gone.
This last month sure has been fun with our ever-changing-girly.
She is becoming more and more like a little person and less like a little baby each day.
Obviously she is getting very good at smiling for photographs. However, she is usually smiling and attempting to escape so I would say the majority of photos are a blurry mess of hands, knees, and clapping.
Oh well.
I guess it makes the ones we do get that much more special.
Do you like her new big girl chair? This is probably the best purchase we have made in a while.
Much safer than having her sitting in the bumbo on the counter. She has been known to climb out of that one a time or two.
Now I can just strap her in, reinforce it with the tray, and let her snack her little heart out while I am busy in the kitchen.
Did I mention she now has 6 teeth? Yes, they just keep coming! Good thing teething doesn't seem to effect her much or the last couple of months would probably have been miserable for the entire household.
I have just started letting her eat more solid pieces of food. She loves it. Her only problem is eating one piece at a time. Instead she grabs a handful and tries to stuff them all in her mouth at once. Luckily usually one out of every three attempts actually make it in her mouth at this point, so no choking has occured.
A few things the little miss enjoys:
Sweet Potatoes, Peas, Green Beans, Black Beans, Bananas, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Pears, Peaches, Applesauce, Apricots, Carrots, Avacado, Tomoatoes...
Nope, she isn't going hungry.
I have also almost completely stopped nursing. And to be completely honest...I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. Our wallets miss it, but that is about the extent of it.
I still nurse once or twice a day and then she receives 2-3 bottles + the above mentioned grub. She also still loves her oatmeal and gets that each night before bed.
I really enjoyed nursing and am so glad I did it for as long as I did, but after two bouts of Mastitis and the stresses of the past few months it just wasn't happening anymore.
She still isn't officially crawling, but she is moving like a crazy woman.
We had to contain her somehow!!!
We sure love our sweet, sweet 8 month girl!
