Miss Stella made her first trip to the ballpark last night. And lucky for her {and daddy} our team did not disappoint. But how could they not be inspired by the cutest fan there ever was?




Just taking in the game and all it's baseball glory

I was a little bit of a stress case thinking about the logistics of taking our three month old daughter 2 hours from home to attend a sporting event outside. I really am such a nervous wreck about most things, but somehow they always turn out great and we have fun. I was telling Ryan that if I get this stressed about an outing with one child I am not looking forward to outings with 3 or 4 of them. He reminded that me that when that time comes the vacations and activities are for the kids. The parents usually aren't the ones enjoying themselves.

Ryan insisted Stella get a cubs outfit to help support her {his} team and this dress was just too cute to pass up. I tried to get a few shots of Stella and mom before we picked up dad from school and it was so funny to look at all the little faces I captured.

Mr. Weatherman's forecast was rather accurate and the rain drops stayed away until nearly the end of the game. By that time the babe was ready to hit the road anyways so it worked out nicely. The game turned out to be a lot of fun and Stella was pretty good throughout. We were even privileged to witness Starlin Castro's record breaking first big league game. He hit a home run and a triple for a record setting 6 RBIs by a player in their major league debut. Fun stuff.

* Remember how this parenthood thing is all about trial and error? Error = taking the family picture at the end of the event when baby is very tired and hungry. Lesson learned, Stella.
