{B}reakdowns...
...of the technological variety - the hard drive on our laptop crashed. Thankfully we were at least able to burn all of Stella's pictures to cds before it really bit the dust. And the fix-it guys seem to think they may be able to save the rest of the info as well. Everyone says it after it happens to them, but of course we didn't listen...back up your hard drive before it is too late!!
...of the automobile variety- yes our car is also in the shop. I think B is also for {B}ad luck.
...a few of the emotional variety might also be found in the mix...
{B}est buds...
Stella loves her little lion friend (thanks, Erin!) I asked her what we should name him and her response was something like "ooo, ahh, ugh, ooo". So Mr. Lion Friend it is.
{B}reakthroughs...
A couple of weeks ago we learned that the treatments my dad has been undergoing for the past 3 1/2 years just aren't working the way they should anymore. Unfortunately after 3 years there aren't many options for treatment left and a decision to stop chemotherapy was made. Needless to say it has been a rough few weeks. The first few days were the worst of it and after many spiritual experiences we feel peace and calm about the situation.
Last week my parents took a trip Salt Lake City to meet with a doctor at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. I think most of us felt like the meeting would end with news similar to that of our prior appointment, but instead the doctor offered a chance for my dad to take part in a trial study using a new combination of old drugs. Many technicalities had to fall into place for him to be able to join this study and we are so thankful for the opportunity he has to not only be helped himself, but possibly help others. I guess you could say B also stands for {B}lessings.

In the past I always thought other people's babies were cute, but I just wasn't ever that interested in them. Now I am obsessed with them! I love looking at pictures of little newborns and hearing stories about how they came to be apart of someones family. I think it allows me to reflect on Stella's life (however short it may be) and remember each stage we have experienced so far.
Plus I have sooo many people I love who are experiencing the joys of parenthood for the first time and it just makes me so happy.
I also know there are many people who have and are currently struggling to have a child of their own. My heart breaks for them and my prayers are with them. I hope that in due time they will receive the blessings they desire no matter how that child comes into their lives.
There also happens to be 6 baby birds residing on my door as we speak! Yes, the eggs hatched. And yes, I have a picture but they are honestly sooo ugly right now that I will spare you the discomfort.

That would be the word that best describes this girl. We love her oh so much!!
