Time For A Little R&R

***Rest & Relaxation ***

Remember this place? It should be suitable to help ease away the stresses and cares of the world, don't you think? Sunday at around 1 pm you will promptly find me occupying once of the lounge chairs, book in hand and a bright red, floppy hat on my head. I might be sipping a pina colada or strawberry daiquiri as well, but I can't make any promises.

Remember this girl? I have been trying to enjoy all my free time this week as I know as soon as I leave the beach it is back to real life, or should I say time to enter real life- Because I got a job! I will be working for the WIC program this summer helping little kiddos and pregnant moms learn about nutrition and receive the food they need to be healthy. The job is only temporary, it lasts through September, but it comes with a great schedule and awesome pay- perfect for some summer getaways and a few student loans with my name on them. It will also allow for extra time to look for something more permanent and study for the national registration exam I have to take to become an official dietitian. We are pretty excited and very thankful for this blessing in our lives!

Remember him, headlamp boy? Well he is officially done with his first year of dental school! I know, we can't believe it either. But I am proud to say he passed with flying colors and is looking forward to starting year 2 when summer is over...that would be in one week. Yeah, not much rest for the weary but he will be fine. Half days of classes and Fridays off will give him plenty of time to help around the house and maybe even head back over to Kroger for some dairy stocking 101....yeah right! More like it will give him plenty of time to hit the links....and help out around the house. Right? Please!? I am kidding. He does a lot to help me and I just want my hubby to know how proud I am of his hard work this year (and wives, I am proud of you/us for surviving as well) and yes, I am pathetically aware that he needs this R&R a whole lot more than I do. Thanks for letting me tag along anyway :)
