I know it has been awhile since my last post. Things have been a little busy lately. We leave in 5 days! I can't believe it! Last week Ryan and I both finished up our jobs. Thursday was my last day at the Bookstore. I have worked there for the past 4 years and it has really been a great job. I was called about an interview the day I moved to Logan my freshman year and have worked there ever since. Over the years I saw many changes occur at the Bookstore, had two different bosses, and worked with some great people. Although it was time for a change I will miss The Clothing Connection! :) Ryan is also done with work and feeling great about that. Baseball is also finished as the team lost during the playoffs. They won their first game, but lost their last two ending their hopes for a State Title. Ryan really enjoyed his time coaching, and I was so glad he was able to spend some more time doing what he loves-baseball! I hope he gets the opportunity to coach again sometime, because I think he had a really positive influence on those boys.
This morning I was able to go get my facial, manicure, and pedicure that Ryan got me for my birthday back in April. WOW! It was AMAZING! That was the first time I have experienced any of those things and I hope it is not the last. The facial was so relaxing. The room was dark with relaxing music, and she gave me a arm and leg rubs and hand and foot massages. Thanks Ryan for the great gift!
In preparation for our trip I have been reading Wicked, the novel that inspired the musical. It actually isn't the best book I have ever read, but it is all right. I know the musical is going to be better, and I think I will like having the knowledge I received from the book during the play. Of course I have also been listening to the music nonstop and just CAN'T WAIT to see it. Basically I am just ready to go. We have been packing up this weekend and will be throughout the rest of the week. We get the moving truck Friday and will load everything up and be on our way Saturday morning. Ohio here we come!

okay so I too read the Wicked book before going to New York to see it on Broadway! Oh my gosh the musical is sooooo much better. It's nice to have an idea of what is going on . . but the style of writing in the book is so ... ummm odd? hahaha but good luck with everything in the next chapter of your life! sounds so exciting. Let me know what you think of Wicked!!
Hope the journey isn't too long this weekend. It sounds like it will be a fun trip for the whole family. You will love wicked. Going to see it in NYC in July. Let me know how life is treating ya'll after this first week.
And, Cook won much to my dismay... and I wasn't able to celebrate at Applebees either. Oh well.
