March Madness

March is always a great month for our little family.  We usually kick things off by celebrating our love and wearing blue--two things that happened just a day apart this year.  This year's anniversary was a big one--10 years of love, laughter, disagreements and babies.  Together we have been able to experience so much that life has to offer: birth, death, education, travel, careers, relocating…the list could really go on and on.  Some of it has turned out how we hoped, but most of it has been far better than our wildest dreams.  To celebrate a decade of being Mr. and Mrs. Palmer, we escaped to Vegas for a long weekend together.  We enjoyed sleeping through the night and waking up late, yummy food, warm weather, a quick trip to the infamous Strip to meet up with friends for dinner and a show, and most of all being together.  It wasn't the dream vacation I had imagined we would be taking to celebrate (surprise baby, anyone?), but it was a wonderful few days with my favorite guy.

Dress in Blue Day 2016 landed on the Friday of our trip, so I feel like I didn't do as great of a job promoting it or recording all the support we received from family and friends.  With that being said, our family was still overwhelmed by the support and love we felt on this day that has become so special to us.

Other things we liked about March:

Eating Aunt Jodi's chocolate custard at Culver's.

Mama and baby sis passing the dreaded glucose test.

Weekend makeovers.

Discovering the joy that can come from an old magazine, a pair of scissors and a glue stick.

As many snuggles as possible.

Move-a-thon fundraisers at school.  Stella created an adorable campaign video that she sent to our families to solicit donations, and in the end earned enough to get to crack an egg over her vice Principal's head.

St. Patrick's Day--a happy/sad day full of green, chocolates left by leprechauns, and celebrating our favorite birthday boy with his favorite Jimmy Johns.

A weekend in Utah spent visiting the zoo, eating yummy food and enjoying some pre-Easter festivities with our people.

And for the grand finale of March we celebrated Easter with easy going egg hunts at the park next door, sisters in matching bunny dresses, and a grateful heart for what Easter truly represents.  I am so thankful for my Savior and that because of his love and sacrifice, the hard is only temporary and the happy lasts forever.
