Seven Months With Ivy Jo

Month seven was a big one for our little girl.  She is at such a fun stage and we are all just eating up every adorable thing she does.

About three days after her half birthday, the little miss decided to start sitting on her own and she hasn't looked back since.  She is also moving like crazy-- between getting on all fours, rolling, and now scooting like a boss, she is going to be hard to contain very soon.

Her first two teeth made their appearance this month, and my heart breaks a little bit every time she flashes those two bottom daggers my way.  They make her look adorably grown up.

Her sleeping habits are getting slightly better.  Averaging about 4-5 hours at a time versus the 2-3 she was doing previously.  I keep thinking one day I am going to wake up at 8:00 am and realize she slept 12 consecutive hours, but so far no such luck.  Lately she seems to enjoy waking up around 6:00 am (sometimes earlier), and I am always grateful when she will go back down for an hour or so after those early mornings. She falls asleep easily and is usually only up for 15-20 minutes during her nightly wakings, so it could be worse.  Plus she has officially hit the extra cute stage where she curls up like a bug and sticks her little bum in the air as soon as her head hits the crib mattress, so all is almost forgiven.

Her giggles are contagious and she doesn't exactly cry as much as she yells and screams.  She will eat anything you give her, her hair is still pretty much non-existent, and she is getting so wiggly that diaper changes are becoming a work out.  This girl definitely runs the show at our house, but nobody seems to mind one bit.
