In the Meantime

So in between the driving across the country, the mourning of our beloved Ohio, and the getting settled into a new place a few other notable activities did occur.

The girls spent a few days with out the mama and the daddy hanging with Aunt Shag and Nana J in P-town.
They watched movies, went swimming, went on shopping sprees, and stayed so fresh and so clean thanks to some bonding time in the tub.
There is never any doubt that when Joni and Taigen are in charge the girls are well taken care of and loved.
These two little ladies are so lucky to have such great people in their lives!

In the six days between driving across the country and landing in Montana I do believe the daddy went fishing three or four times.
He most definitely had some fishing trips to catch up on and surely had a good time doing it.
There are only two times that this boy will wake up before 6 am with out any complaining and those times both involve nature and wild animals.
As long as I can keep sleeping I am fine with it.

Time was spent in Logan enjoying the freedom that comes from riding horses while pants less and showing love and affection to cousins who we see far less than we would like.
Stella is obsessed with Leyla and nothing would make her more happy than to be able to smother her with love and kisses all the day long.

A quick visit with the Pops is always a must.
Miss him more than words can say.
Can not believe year #2 has almost come to a close.
So much has happened that he should have been a part of.
Until we meet again these little visits will just have to do.

Despite (yet again) the whirlwind nature of our visit, we made a quick trip to Bear Lake to spend a precious few last hours with our Ohio fam.
It was the perfect setting to remember why we love them all so much and to regroup before we all start our next great adventure.
Unfortunately it also meant we finally had to say our goodbyes, a moment we had all been dreading for months.
So glad to know that although we are now all spread across the country, we love each other far too much to let the miles keep us apart for too long.

And wouldn't you know it, my baby girl decided to turn another month older and wiser, too.
I can not believe she is inching her way ever closer to the big one year mark, and I am doing my best to soak in every moment of this lovely babe.
Everyone comments on how content and happy she is, and it is the absolute truth.
We are so lucky to call her ours.

She is becoming a professional roller, an expert food grabber, a smooth talker, and a hater of all things that should reside on her head.  Clapping seems to be the next trick she is looking to master, so we will keep you posted on that one.

Our summer has certainly been adventurous so far, but we wouldn't want it any other way.
We have been so abundantly blessed with employment, health, and amazing family and friends.
Life is good today.
