A Birthday Story

Once upon a time, like a long long time ago say about the year 1987, there was a young boy. This little boy had a wish. It was a simple wish and it almost came true. Except the sad thing is it didn't come true. A sudden illness struck and the young boy's dream vanished right along with the vomit being flushed down the toilet.

As I said before the year was 1987. The day in question was January 5th. The dream was a birthday party at a magical place. A place were every child's dreams come true (and the fact that this boy has never been to Disneyland is a whole other story)....

Chuck E Cheese was the place and our very own little J. Ryan Palmer was the boy. What a sad story right? A while ago Ryan told me about what was to be his 5th birthday party. He and his cousin Trevor were scheduled to visit Chuck E Cheese for their birthdays (which are only a day apart) and party hard like any kid would do. But tragically Ryan fell ill and never made it to the place where a kid can be a kid. That was until Tuesday night...

Surprise party at Chuck E Cheese! Thanks to all of our wonderful friends who were great sports about celebrating dear Ryan's 28th birthday at what is now his favorite place ever! Fun was had by all playing games (ski ball and quick shoot), winning tickets, and, oh yeah, watching the real kids stuff their faces with pizza and climb all over the games.

Honestly I was a little worried about Ryan's reaction to the whole thing, but I think he loved it. A lot. What a good sport he is. So thanks for all the fun Chuck. Until next time. And don't you worry, there WILL be a next time...

HAHAH! One, you are the cutest pregnant girl in the world... even when you're due in a mere few weeks. Two, the story of Ryan's crushed childhood dream is tragic. Only to three, where the #1 wife in the world rescued a birthday wish lost long ago. LOVE YOU!
