Hormonal?

* I cried during a Hallmark commercial the other day. I really thought when people said they did that it was a lie. But nope. I did it. In my defense it was about being home for Christmas with family and using a few choice Hallmark words to show your mom how much you love her. I mean come on, I REALLY love my mom and I REALLY love being home for Christmas which is somewhere I won't be this December. Call it another victory for the advertising execs at Hallmark, because I am totally buying that card.

* This morning I was driving to work listening to a little Christmas music on the radio. It was enough to get my emotions stirring. Then I switched stations and listened to a local program reviewing some of the highlights of last night's prime time line up. The CMAs were on last night which I didn't watch due to our lack of any other station but CBS, NBC, or FOX (speaking of which, using a digital converter box when you live next to an airport does not work well. If one more dang airplane flies over my apartment right at the climax of my favorite show again I am going to scream!). What was I talking about again? Oh yeah, CMAs. Anyways I was listening to the recap of the CMAs, which from the clips they were playing sounded like it really should have been called the Taylor Swift show, and they played one of many of Taylor Swift's acceptance speeches and again...crying. What the What? I don't even know. I was just so happy for her I guess. I mean maybe secretly I wish I was her and was the one on that stage full filling my dream of being a country/pop/world super star, but maybe I was just so proud and happy for her. You have to admit she seems like the nicest, most genuine person ever. Moral of the story is the crazy pregnant woman was shedding tears of joy for Taylor Swift.

* Speaking of the prime time line up, I have to admit it...I like GLEE. I blame it on the fact that I wish my life was a musical, however, Ryan objects to this wish and will never return my questions in the form of song when I so lovingly serenade him a simple "How was your day, honey?" Talk about killing a dream. So there I was watching GLEE last night enjoying the songs (WICKED!) and inappropriate jokes a little too much, when this hardly serious comedy starts making my bawl! If you know the show I am speaking of Sue going to visit her sister...ugh! Ryan was off studying so I was all alone on my couch crying through the last 5 minutes of this ridiculous show while on the screen 15 kids in wheelchairs are singing and dancing to Proud Mary. I mean really, it was weird. Ryan walked in about this time and totally agreed.

* My best friend Breanne is 9 weeks ahead of me in this whole growing-a-child-in-your-womb thing. That means any day now she could be pushing her guts out and welcoming her little girl into the world. Wow! I can't even think about. I just start crying. I am so excited for her and Derek, and even more excited to think that means it is almost my turn. I just keep picturing our two little girls up in heaven, holding hands and laughing as they watch their mommies every day and then suddenly having to say goodbye to each other as one leaves and the other waits for her turn to come. I mean I know it is totally Saturday's Warrior, but I just can't stop thinking about it! I just know these little girls are already best friends which is good because even if they weren't they would be forced into such a relationship by their crazy moms anyways. Wow, I can't wait to go home and visit my best friend and meet the little gal who has been keeping my baby girl company all this time!

K, your post made ME cry. The hormonal wave does not stop once the baby gets here, that is for sure. Plus, it doesn't help to be so sleep deprived... I cry all the time. I love you, Taryn. You seriously rock my socks.

I must admit, I just love your posts. This one brought back so many memories. We have some pretty hilarious sob stories from when I was prego too. It slowed down in my third trimester, but picked right back up again after miles was born. I'm glad your little angel has a friend to keep her company til you can hold her tight. You're going to be such a cute mommy!!
P.S. I love GLEE too!

I love all the stories. You're not weird in the slightest. I find myself getting emotional during award shows too! I would like to hang out with Taylor, she seems so nice. I cried when she was on Oprah. I'm glad you like GLEE, we like it too. Haven't watched last nights episode but I'll be sure to look for the part you are talking about. Hang in there! Can't wait to see you!

Oh and don't even worry. I cried during the first 5 minutes of watching Up last night, and I'm not even pregnant. My husband thought I was a little bit insane. I highly recommend it, but just know that you WILL cry.

Oh honey...the hormones will pass. It's a lot to take in all at once, but you are strong and can handle it!

It really doesn't end when the baby comes. i cry all the time!!! I thought i was a cry baby before Ellie came, but i think now it may be even worse. Maybe it's the nursing hormones...who knows.

I cry all the time too. I think it is a little to due with the nursing hormones..it hasn't surpassed me in the slightest. It's just part of this great motherhood stuff, even if it's completely crazy and your husband thinks your a nut case. YOu are so dang cute Tar...I can't wait to see you. this time of year always makes me cry!

There is nothing wrong with a good cry session. I have always been a softy but I have to say that having kids...and when I was prego...I have become even softer!

Hope you don't mind I blog stocked your blog from your sisters. Just wanted to tell you, you are not the only one that bawled during GLEE last week...and I'm not even pregnant. The whole part with Sue visiting her sister was a tear jerker. The emotions won't go away even after baby P makes her appearance! It got worse for me. Hope everything goes well with the rest of your pregnancy. You look great!
