As of Late.

Nothing new or exciting is going on in our day to day activities, hence the lack of blogging in recent weeks. I want to be able to just sit down and blog my hectic thoughts and feel refreshed and renewed, but I just end up worrying about what I said and if I spelled all the words right. So instead I try to wait for something exciting to say or a new story to tell or when I have a bunch of great pictures to share. None of these things are the case for this post...sorry. Instead it is simply a recap of the past few weeks for those of you who care and for my own remembrance.

1. Birthday. My birthday was great, and no I don't have any pictures to prove it. I spent the day at clinicals receiving sweet text messages from all my great friends and family. At one point I received an interestingly formatted message that read "Hey Taryn. Happy birthday." Unfortunately I had no idea who this was from, but I knew from the number it was from a fellow Idahoan. I responded by saying thanks, but could they let me know who they were. Two hours later...."I am your father. :) Scott" Smiley face and all. First time he has ever text anyone. Best birthday present ever. Later that night we went to dinner at a great Mexican joint near our house and celebrated with cake, ice cream, and great friends. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, called, texted, came over, facebooked me, etc. One can't help but have a great day when so many people they love are thinking of them.

2. General Conference. I think I was able to listen or watch 95% of the talks this year. They were all amazing and really helped to recharge my spiritual battery. I went into Conference hoping to gain guidance for specific things in my life and got so much more. Since then Ryan and I have really been trying to do better as members of the Church. We are very far from perfect, but the changes we have made have already brought more peace and love into our home.

3. Exercise. So I joined a gym. Luckily I have some great workout partners and have been getting my moneys worth. I am actually loving it and trying to get ready to run a 5k in the near future (right Heather?). Exercise is good...stop reading this and go workout!

4. School. Ryan is really busy, me not so much. Since I am basically working but doing it for free (or for a small fee of $8,000) I go to clinicals, come home, make dinner, work out, do whatever I want. So far very good. I think I could get used to it. Besides the not getting paid part.

5. Easter. Easter was wonderful and we were able to spend it with some great friends (see the lone picture below). It was so fun watching the little kids search for eggs and gorge themselves on jelly beans.

6. Warmth. It is 73 degrees right now. Love it.

Sometimes you just have to blog...I know. Whether there be pictures or not, it's good to get your thoughts out. Good post!

Hey...am I not in on the 5K? And we don't have kids either. I guess that makes two of us.:) (I read Taigen's post--that's pretty hysterical about your dad and the text. He must love his eldest!:)
