Four Months With Ivy Jo

My baby turned four months! A month ago! She will be five months in tomorrow, so I figured it was now or never getting this update posted.

Her fourth month included:

The ability to start grabbing the toys hanging from her play mat.  I love how those first grabs start out accidental and then they realize they can do it as often as they want.

Starting to enjoy tummy time for longer than five seconds.  I would say maybe ten seconds now.

Trying to move that cute little body and roll over.  She finally conquered it on 3/12 and has been rolling ever since.  Always rolling to the left side and had a difficult time returning to her back once on her tummy.  In other words she was frustrated a lot.

Still sleeping in the bassinet next to mom and dad's bed.  Still swaddled, but knowing the end of that is near.  Usually sleeping 5-8 hours at a time.

Four month check up (March 30th) put her at 23.5 inches long and only 12 lbs. 5 oz., making her our smallest baby at the four month mark.  The fact that cousin Lucy weighed 11 lbs. 3 oz at her one month appointment really makes her seem small.  Vaccines seemed to go better this time around, although she still got quite fussy about five hours later, it wasn't as dramatic as the first round.

Ivy girl, every month you bring more love and joy into our family than was there the one before.  We are all loving watching you grow, and are so glad you are with us forever!
