Better with Time

I guess it's true what they say, some things really do get better with time.
After seven months with our little Bug we continue to think life with her couldn't get any better, and yet it continues to do just that.
She is a gem, and her dad and mom just can't get enough.

She is a dainty little thing.  Some moments I look at her and think she is the chubbiest little cherub on the planet and other times she is a bean pole.
She mastered sitting up on her own only a few days after her six month b-day and has been going strong ever since.
She is still isn't rolling or scooting around much, but even in the last few days I've noticed an increase in movement, especially if she spots a toy or device that she would like to be sucking on.
The truth is I'm in no hurry for her to become mobile.  Not only is it easier this way, it means she is still more baby than big girl and I am in no way ready for her to stop being my baby.

This girl is happy.  She just is.
It is so easy to get a big grin out of her and she is constantly cracking herself up.
That smile is now accompanied by two little teeth that just popped up on the bottom and they are now two of my favorite things in the world.

She is eating well.
About a week after she turned six months she became a completely formula fed babe.
It is always a battle that I fight with myself, but after cruises, RSV, ear infections, and a milk supply that was running low it became the best solution for our family.
She is doing great with bottles and seems to be as happy and healthy as ever which is all I can ask for in the end.
Solids are going great and she is slowly but surely adjusting to the new tastes and textures that come along with a spoonful of carrots, pears, and green beans.

It feels like we finally  have somewhat of a schedule down, something I didn't stress about enforcing this time around.
She usually wakes around 7am, takes a 6 oz bottle, and is back down for a nap between 9-9:30.  After nap time it is time for a fruit and a 4 oz bottle and some play time with mommy and sister.  Another nap around 2:00, followed by an evening meal of vegetables and a 4 oz bottle.  Lots more playing with sister, time outside, and quick dip in the tub before a helping of oatmeal, a 6 oz bottle, and bedtime around 8:00pm.
Of course there are still lots of days that we have errands to run or unexpected plans that totally throw things off, but the girl is pretty great to go with the flow.

From day one this girl has loved her baths and continues to do just that.
She loves to sit up and splash, and occasionally likes to steal her sister's toys.
I think I like bath time just as much.  My favorite time of the day is putting pajamas and lotion on my two freshly bathed beauties.
We always have lots of laughs during the bedtime routine.

So happy to have this sweet little lady in our family!

for whatever reason she reminds me SO MUCH of sweet Hattie girl!! haha the slightly chubby cheeks and thighs, the sweet smiles, the mostly calm and always happy demeanor. They are twins. and the wardrobe, hello. Love them both!
